Through a programme of 4IR use cases inside the four walls and across its value chain — connecting suppliers and customers — the site lifted output by 123% from FY18 while cutting factory cost by 31% and improving yield by 3 points.

Facing 21 typhoons a year, proximity to an active volcano, 8-month wafer lead times and a 43% demand increase with tightened data-centre specs, the site deployed 25+ machine-learning and advanced-analytics use cases. Unplanned shutdowns fell 82-86%, yield reached a record 89.6% and unit production cost dropped 54%.
