Nanjin, CN - Lighthouse award in Supply-Chain and Resilience
Facing a slowing Chinese car market, the manufacturer pivoted to a customer-to-business (C2B) model offering more than a thousand configurable features per vehicle. To make mass customisation work at scale, it rebuilt the value chain end-to-end: online configuration, intelligent engineering, a production digital twin, a digital supply chain and AI-assisted quality. The programme was led directly by a group vice-president, drew on more than 200 IT/OT/data staff and over $150m of investment.
