Maubeuge, FR - Lighthouse award in Productivity
A half-century-old light commercial vehicle plant carrying a complex, high-mix model portfolio (vans for three OEM brands) on an ageing 20-hectare site. The plant set out to use digital tools to eliminate quality defects from manual operations, enable data-driven decisions, achieve end-to-end part traceability, raise body-shop flexibility for high vehicle diversity, and cut the energy bill of 50-year-old buildings.
Curitiba, BR - Lighthouse award in Supply-Chain and Resilience
In 2017 the engine factory ranked last on the group's internal performance index covering quality, cost, time and performance. A combined technological, cultural and organisational transformation, built on five Industry 4.0 axes — process, connected workforce, real-time data-driven plant and supply chain, flexible supply chain and factory, and full track-and-trace — lifted the site from 16th to 6th by 2019, with a 31% reduction in value of transformation per unit and an 18% gain in engines per worker.
Cléon, FR - Lighthouse award in Productivity
The site is a long-established powertrain plant (engines, gearboxes and casting parts) running 60-year-old buildings across roughly 40 hectares. Its transformation pushed digital tools onto the shop floor to lift productivity, retrain a large workforce on new technologies and cut the energy bill of an ageing facility.
