A midstream gas and natural-gas-liquids operator, with 44 plants and 57,000 miles of pipeline, faced commoditising service margins, an ageing workforce and surface operations largely untouched by technology. From 2015 it built a digital programme — DCP 2.0 — to operate plants remotely, optimise margin in real time and shift maintenance from reactive to condition-based, while reducing methane emissions across its pipeline network.
