Awards

Liyang, CN - Lighthouse award in Productivity

Liyang, CN   •   Jan 2023

The site faced fast-rising demand for high-quality lithium-ion cells, climbing labour cost and a corporate commitment to carbon peaking and neutrality. As the largest single plant in its group, it applied big data, additive manufacturing, generative and optical AI to lift factory yield by 654%, cut manufacturing cost per kWh by 32.7% and reduce CO2 per kWh by 47.4%.

Yibin, CN - Lighthouse award in Productivity

Oct 2022

A greenfield battery cell and pack plant built to absorb fast-growing EV demand. Building on a sister-site lighthouse, the team layered AI inspection, IIoT-based energy management, particle-swarm process optimisation and digital-twin-led pack-line automation, achieving 17% higher line speed, 14% lower yield loss and zero on-site CO2 emissions.

Ningde, CN - Lighthouse award in Productivity

Sep 2021

Facing extreme manufacturing complexity and a quality bar measured in defective parts per billion, the site applied AI, advanced analytics and edge/cloud computing to stabilise high-precision production at a cell takt of 1.7 seconds, cutting defects, energy use and conversion cost. Outcomes reported: 42% lower production cost, 80% lower defects (dppb), 75% higher labour productivity and a 10% annual drop in energy intensity over three years.
